Steve and I sailed aboard Chewsy for a year. We sailed from Troon in August 2012 , crossed Biscay and visited Porto Santo, Madeira, the Canaries then down to the Cape Verdes. We crossed the Atlantic in December, and sailed in the warm waters of the Caribbean before coming back to Scotland via the Azores in August 2013
A very productive day. The solar panel is now fitted on the radar arch.
First indications are that it is working well. Even today raw voltage from the panel was 20+ volts. Regulator floating at 13.7 volts. Batteries are indicating they are fully charged.
