Steve and I sailed aboard Chewsy for a year. We sailed from Troon in August 2012 , crossed Biscay and visited Porto Santo, Madeira, the Canaries then down to the Cape Verdes. We crossed the Atlantic in December, and sailed in the warm waters of the Caribbean before coming back to Scotland via the Azores in August 2013

Hello, What a bind, having to spend a few more days in Bermuda! The big high you speak of has actually reached all the way to Scotland. We have sun and warm weather at last, 20 centigrade no less. We finally got sailing two weekends ago, over to Lamlash on Saturday. Unfortunately Allan missed his footing coming into the cockpit after tidying up the boat for the night and fell heavily on to the winch, very painful. Next day we had a lovely trip back to Troon but Allan was in increasing pain so eventually off to A&E, cracked ribs so no more sailing for a while.
ReplyDeleteLoved your account of Bermuda, it looks a beautiful place but we're not surprised about the prices.
We look forward to the next chapter of the saga, hopefully from the Azores.
Love Marjorie and Allan
Thank you for your message. We hope Allan is beginning to feel better. Steve says 6 weeks of total rest in his experience.
